The wonderful winter weather that was received last night brought about 10" of snow to our area. While it resulted in a welcomed snow day for me, my husband was not so fortunate. In fact, his work called at the wonderful hour of 0445 regarding an impossible mission that would require driving for several hours in a foot of snow to a mountain site that may or may not fix the problem all because somebody wanted to see a news photo of snow in another city about 60 miles south. I, being the delighted wife cleaned off his vehicle only to find that he had convinced his work that it was not a bright idea. Time to go back to bed!
The snow day today was a nice relief as many things that I had wanted to do: laundry and genealogy research were accomplished today. When Wayne came home from work tonight, he stated that the roads that had melted today were now icing up (some had already turned to ice) and it was going to be slick in the morning. Unfortunately as of right now, LU does not yet have a delay or closing. LCA and all city schools....YES!
